I personally think that alcohol's the worst drug that I've tried, it just messes you up so much. With no other drug have I lost control so much of what I'm doing, or saying.
Plus getting sick and being hungover BLOWS

I find that milder drinks like beer are nice but spirits suck. Threw up loads from mixing Gin with Wine and Sherry so mixing is a bad idea.

When i have alcohol, i only have one bottle/glass/wotever, i can't honestly be arsed (excuse the language) with hangovers and crap. Alcohol is just another drink to me, nothing more

if you drink alcohol in moderation then it is okay
dnt get drunk or binge drink if you want to stay healthy
never mix drinks
always drink plenty of water when drinking alcohol
as alcohol dehydrates you and doesnt hydrate you

Be careful. If you go on frequent drinking binges then you could get addicted. Keep that in mind.

I just got drunk recently and I had the alcohal rate of 35 and 39 is the deathrate so I was about one hour away from dieing and so I have bad experiences with alcohal and I doubt I'll do it again untill I'm old enough to understand what I'm doing because right now I just drink it straight and me and my friend drank a 26er of smirnoff within 40 minutes and that's not healthy so whatever you do don't drink smirnoff straight in 40 minutes because bad things will happen.

the point of drinking is not necesarilly to get drunk, it can also relax people. Others do happen to really like the taste of it, and also it can be a lil side drink if ur carbo-loading for something the next day.

Alcohol is a drug, legal or not. It has serious side effects,....
Appearance and use
Alcohol comes in all kinds of forms. From the hard stuff - spirits like whisky and vodka - to the Alco pops and mixers that seem innocent but actually contain more alcohol by volume than beer or cider.
Cost
From own brand lagers to rare single malts, you can pay as much or as little as you like for Britain's favourite drug.
Purity
Because it's legal and sold only in licensed premises, most alcohol is unadulterated by anything very nasty. It's more likely that someone will try to put something in your drink like Rohypnol or GHB.
The effects
* Like most drugs, alcohol will exaggerate whatever mood you're in when you start drinking. So if you're on a bit of a downer when you hit the pub, you might just stay that way.
* Alcohol is a relaxant so in moderation it can reduce feelings of anxiety, reduce inhibitions and make you feel more sociable.
* It takes your body an hour to process one unit of alcohol. So it doesn't take a genius to work out that if you're downing them like there's no tomorrow, your body won't be able to cope. And you'll end up plastered.
* One too many can strip you of your dignity. Slurring your words, loss of balance and vomiting are just some of the effects that you may want to avoid. Especially if you're trying to impress.
* Time is the only thing that will help you process alcohol. Even a bathful of black coffee isn't going to sober you up if you've overdone it.
* Official guidelines recommend no more than 3-4 units a day for adult men, 2-3 for adult women. One unit is half a pint of beer, lager or cider. One small glass of table wine. Or a 25ml measure of spirits.
Chances of getting hooked
If you drink sensibly that's OK, but for some people it can soon get out of control. Alcoholism is a big problem for some.
The risks
* Dependence on alcohol can creep up on you. Tolerance increases with use so if you drink on a regular basis, over time you'll need more and more alcohol to reach the same state.
* It can make you mouthy, argumentative and aggressive. So if you discover you're a nasty drunk you'd be wise to rein it. Especially if you want to keep your mates.
* Alcohol is blamed for all kinds of problems in Britain from violent crime to domestic violence and car related deaths.
* Serious overindulgence can lead to alcohol poisoning which could put you in a coma or even kill you.
* Long-term use of alcohol has been linked with illnesses like liver damage, stomach cancer and heart disease.

yes but then there are thouse of us to ignore the side affects. WHen done in ecess it can kill, your gonna die anyways. and its not as if everyone who drinks is an alcoholic. I drink every weekend, I get shitfaced and go to sleep, nothing wrong with that.

It's your choice, but the effects of alcohol are there none the less. Alcohol has POSITIVe and NEGATIVE effects like ALL drugs...
Be aware, that although your enjoying yourself there are negative effects of alcohol. You may be assuming that because yoru young you've got years to repair yourself, or that it cant effect you, dont be foooled!
Seriously, alcohol is a poison, just like any other drug, it can be toxic. It can kill you, your body was not designed to take it....
I dont approve or dissaprove of alcohol, infact im drinking it right now....but, im saying that you should be aware of the outcomes of taking a DRUG like alcohol, you should be careful.
DON't DO IT ON A REGULAR BASIS, EVER!!! Addiction can creep up on you, no matter how much you think you can handle!
Don't EVER!! DRINK HEAVILY!!! ALcohol is a drug, or a tool, respect it...your body doesn't deserve a battering. Respect your body!
