So, yesterday I was diagnosed with a chronic form of pneumonia.(its sort of like herpes, where it will flair up everynow and again) So I got my meds to take care of it when it flairs. The best part is was I got a back massage at a physical theropy place. It was FANTASTIC, they pounded the phelgm into submission, put me in the most comfy whirlpool tub, and finally a steam room. I feel like a new woman. Getting to the point, does anyone have any ways of releiving onesself of phelgm?

Pneumonia is a lower respiratory infection, an infection of the lungs. The phlegm is the body's way of trapping and removing the bacteria that cause the pneumonia, so it's unwise to try to stop it. Some antihistamines might work, some find a warm bath to help, some like hot tea, maybe herbal with some honey, but generally, the phelgm remains. Talk with the doc if it's unbearable, amybe he can prescribe something, at least at nite to help you sleep.
