The bleeding means they have started their mentrual cycle. The ovum makes its way to the (god i have a bad memory. i forget) and then it eventually deteriorates and goes out the vagina. Thats how the bleeding starts.

the bleeding is actually not blood but the lining of the womb clearing away to make room for babies.

A girl bleeds out her vagina to clean herself out and start a new 'BABY' cycle every month....

A period is when a girl releases a egg for fertilisation every month if it doe's not get fertilised then it will be released out of the body through the vagina. And the bleeding is the lining of the womb thinning itself out to make room for a baby and it grows back read to start the whole process again next period if the egg did not get fertilised ;)
