My oldest computer is sitting in my closet right now. It runs Windows 3.0 and has one game installed, called System Shock.
Look how realistic it is!

The oldest I have? An Apple IIe from 1982. Still works flawlessly. Odd little machines. :P

I've got several old Apple's from Around the Mid-Late 80's and really early 90's.

As for PCs, I've got a Tandy branded 8086 and a Commodore branded 8088, both work fine, except the Tandy has a bit of an issue at times with the HDD.

Laptops, I have a Compaq SLT/286 8MHz Laptop from ~1990 that works perfectly, it's just missing the battery. It's like 4.5 inches thick, and has Windows 3.1 on it with a 20MB HDD.

the oldest pc we hav is a gateway from '01. Im currently using a 2003 ibm thinkpad t41. works almost flawlessly, cept the wireless card broke so i had to buy a new one. i use this cuz our hp pavilion a1600n really sucks and literally takes 5 minutes just to boot up.

I have an old iBook Clamshell from 2000 that I got on eBay last month and not one problem. I am in love with that iBook. It has 356 mb of ram 359+ ghz and it is extremely fast for those specs. It has two games Doom and Midnight Mansion. I have an old still in my closet laptop that is compaq from early 90s it doesn't even have usb or Internet connection it needs an old modem. LOL.

we have an old gateway tower running windows 95, it's from the mid 90s, and it has no usb ports, the floppy drive never worked(i'm talking the 5 inchers) and the cd drive was always a little wierd. believe it or not, my sister actually used it for a while, even though it's practically useless, except for the monitor. that thing is such a pain

Great game. :)

Oldest assembled, formatted and occasionally used PC is an AMD K6-II with 128MB of SIMM memory, and a 32MB SiS graphics card. It runs Windows 2000 like a charm. I also have an Athlon 800, Celeron 1200, and Pentium D rig that are used daily. I also have a ton of Pentium II/Pro/Pentium stuff that I havent touched in a long time, its not assembled but I could put something together and make it work. :)

My friend has an IBM 5150 PC, all 4.77 MHz worth. :D

He also has a ton of old CPUs, a couple 386 PCs, and a 486 DX2 along with similar stuff to my junk collection.

I havent really been all that much into screwing with computers in a while and have been working on my car and wrestling, but all my old shit collection is still here. :)

1978 it reads on the back of the desktop. I'm guessing it's a PC but I am not for sure.
