I'm really not keen on Cute Is What We Aim For.
Although I do like The Academy Is, but I'm not a huge fan.
I personally think there are far better bands of that genre.

Bump. No, they are not good bands. Try finding a good underground band in your area and listen to them and go to see them live. The satisfaction will be much bigger than listening to shit pop bands like CIWWAF and The Academy Is. There are some really, really good bands that would kill to have half the success of bands like the ones you said.

If you enjoy listening to them, I can't say that they're "bad" bands. Personally, I feel that there are far better bands in that genre; but I don't see why you should stop liking a particular band because someone else may think it's uncool.
