I think its still masturbation whether you do it yourself or have someone give a helping hand. I mean if another guy or a girl gave me a hand job I could say they jerked me off, that means they gave me a wank, that means they masturbated me. So in my definition I guess masturbation is sexual stimulation from a hand, usually your own hand but not necessarily

basically, fingering is a way that girls masturbate.

So...to try to put this simply when a girl is fingering she is masturbating, but when a girl is masturbating she's not necessarily fingering herself.
