What are your parents views on drugs (mainly weed)

I just recently found out that both my parents did drugs as kids, weed and hash mostly. And they're okay with me doing weed occasionally aslong as it doesnt get in the way of my life. They aren't bad parents, theyre just flexible parents who trust me, and i give them reason to.

What are your parents views on it? If they have even told you yet

Hah, I would be absolutely massacred, have every single privilege I have taken away from me, my allowance stripped, and be grounded until I was 18 if I ever did drugs. And I like it that way. It means that none of my brothers will ever get into the vile things. :)

My mom smoked pot a couple of times, and she used to drink.
My dad is a full blown alcholic, and he used to do speed and crystal meth.

They make comments about 'crackheads' and they make occasional comments about the negativity of drug usage, but their opinion really doesn't matter to me.
It isn't like they did all that great of a job with me.
I'll do whatever the fuck I want to.

Even though I have a history of substance abuse and dependence, there are still things that I'm out to try before I die.

My parents don't care. I have had an extremely successful life, and the occasional drug use doesn't detract from that if managed properly.

Anyone who looks down on me, for the record, should try doing better than me before discussing what is or isn't a "smart" decision.

I don't think all drug-users of illegal drugs are stupid. I think many may be but then again, some may be very intelligent. One of my friends has done and usually still does alcohol, weed, claims to have done cocaine, exctasy and cigarettes. Despite this, he's brilliant at mathematics, microbiology, computer science, etc... .

I don't intend to do illegal drugs not because they're illegal but rather because of how successful they can be at screwing you up. If a person wants to do heroin or whatever, I have no problem standing next to them as they do it, providing I get absolutely none of it. That, and I don't need drugs to make me hallucinate, I get that already drug-free.

I know some people who can get along just fine than use drugs, but overall, MOST people get fucked up.

Some people enjoy killing people. Hunting makes a lot of people happy to, but there are so many people against hunting. Just because something makes a person happy doesn't mean it's a good thing. Meth, cocaine, there is so much shit that makes the person using it "happy" for some strange reason, when all it is doing is either fucking up their lives or the lives of the people around them, or most likely both.

Honestly, if I was caught, at first they would be enraged, but then give me a talk about it. And if they found I was really hooked on something or had a major problem not even they could help, I'd get therapy.

In short, my parents would care if they found out I did drugs, but would not over react.

I dislike when judgments are made upon people.
I smoke marijuana every week, and I am damn proud of it. I don't find it to be stupid, I consider it a hobby.
Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when people narrow their views down to only one side, it angers me. Keep an open mind is what I think.


But anyway...As far as my parents go,
My mom is really a very narrow minded person, she finds drug use of any kind to be disgusting and immoral.

My dad, I am almost positive he smoked pot as a teenager, I don't see him anymore so I wouldn't know.


If my mother found out I smoked pot, she would be pissed off, not sure how she would react though.

dont ban your kids from doing drugs, if they make the decision to drink or smoke pot with friends, make sure that one
they are safe and arent driving, maybe you could supervise them while they do it

Right now, the THC (What makes you feel high) Levels in weed, are 20 times higher then they were back in the '60s and '70s.

So among other things that have appeared in marijuana, its not the same as it used to be.

My parents are quite tolerant with certain drugs, such as cannabis. The ones they see as less harmful they don't mind as much.

My mum has MS and uses cannabis medicinally. My father lives away and used to smoke weed when I was younger. They both smoke tobacco as do my uncle and aunt who also live with me and for the last couple of years I've been pretty much free to smoke and drink with them. I can't imagine they'd be very angry if I smoked cannabis but I don't like it anyway.

My parents used to be very big pot heads, tried harder drugs even. I had no idea until my brother told me, but the more I listen to it the more I realize that my parents don't really care about it that much. Yes, they would punish me due to it being illegal and all, say something like they are glad they are the ones who caught me instead of police etc, but it would not be severe. Alcohol, something that could actually hurt me, well, that's another story ;)
