Since we have quarters not trimesters my last gpa that I got was a 3.86:D and this semester i'm doing even better!

Weighted GPA as of the end of the first semester (first two marking periods): 4.4 (or like a 4.39, but same thing. 0.o)

I don't know what my unweighted GPA is... All I can say is with my current grades my weighted GPA will have plummeted by the end of the year.

Last semester I got a 3.7. Aiming for a 4.0 this semester. I'll need a 3.9 for the scholarship I want to apply for at UCSB. I'll need all the financial aid I can get, haha.

Technically speaking my GPA won't be that important, nor will my grades in MOST classes, in terms of the college I want to get into.

We have 2 semesters in university (currently in 2nd year uni.), so this is without the current courses because exams are in April. So, with 1st year and 1st semester of 2nd year, it's 3.65 (out of a 4.0 grading scale). I think 1 course will really kick the GPA a bit but the other 4 courses I'm thinking will more than compensate.

In highschool, we didn't use GPAs, only percentages. I'm not going to try and find where mine is (assuming it's in my room, and I don't see why it would be), grade 12 I ended with 89-90% (I think it was a 89.5%). Sadly, wasn't within the top 3 or 5 highest marks.

There are different GPA grading scales. Some go up to 4.0, some go up to 12.0 or 16.0. Also, if 2 GPA systems both to 4.0 exist, which they do, what one consider to be a 3.5 (say, 75%) will differ from the other, which may consider 3.5, say to be 70%.

There are different GPA systems. Although, with a system maxed out at 4.0, it's not possible. Not sure if there's a system maxed to 5 or 6 though.

Well if you take honors courses and your grades are weighted you can get higher than 4.0, i think the max for weighted grades is 4.33

Max for weighted grades at my school is around a 5.2 or so. You need to take like seven AP courses and get an A in all of them though. (I know you can get a 5.0, I don't know if you can get higher, from what I heard someone managed a 5.4 at my school last year, but I really have no clue).

Our school's weight on honors/AP only applies to class rank, not GPA.
