Anyone know if marijuana affects puberty in any way. I know ive heard people say it hurts your growth but i just ignore them and think they are just saying that.

Nah bro Marijuana is natural it comes from the ground (im not trying to be a hippy) it has no effects on your body except if smoked for long periods of time it will kill your brain cells altough your brain reproduces brain cells. On the other hand alchohol kills much more brain cells than marijuana does so if i had to pick between the two itd be marijuana.

Just to tap on something, the brain can only reproduce brain cells when deep thinking occurs, and that can only happen in some parts of the brain. And look at it like this, if marijuana damages your brain, then you might not have the will to think deeply any longer. A word of the wise :)

That is SOO extremely wrong. About each beer kills about 10,000 brain cells. Most adults usually get drunk at around 5. Thats (5 x 10,000) 50,000. Every joint kills 100,000 brain cells. So, if you get addicted to marijuana and alcohol, you're still killing more with the weed. And it DOES effect your development. Why would grown men who smoke pot have fertility problems? Smoking pot in your teens is a pretty crappy idea if you want to go through puberty. [/u]

I've smoked pot now and again and it has affected me but nothing to do with puberty. Still not a good idea to do it though. I think it's one of the reasons me and many othe people are depressed.

Are you sure? I've ben told that in the short term it makes you happy (obviously) but in the long term it can seriously affect serotonin and dopamine levels in the brain.

weed does mess it up ive been told but i started in grade 6 hard in grade 7 stoped for grade 8 and off and on in grade 9...its not much and theres nuttin wrong with me but it is possible if u do smoke it anough i would assume

becuse when u think about it:
ur smoking a joint everyone so often lets say...ur killing brain cells...now if u started before starting puberty(around 10 i would say?) ur killing brain cells that ur brain might need to put u throu the puberty process...you might say"oh it never hapend to me so it cant be true and i been smoking for 6 years" well have you been hit by a car sersouly? or cracked your spinal cord? or def or blind? well if you are im sry but its like the same thing...thousands of people in the world get hit by cars,crack there spine, born/go def or blind...just becuse it hasent happend to you dosent mean it cant happend to someonelse

I smoke pot, I make stright a's perhaps you would make the bad grades regardless, or perhaps your just....cought up in a phase, I smoke pot like its a side habbit, I never talk about it untill I'm smoking it, and then I usually sleep when I get stoned, simple as that.

every day......I guess on average 6 days of the week, no set number of times I smoke in those days, could be a bowl could be two joints, a blunt, a bong, bowl, and a joint, then a blunt. lol, no but really, I smoke allot, and I'm doing fine.
