Someone found out..

I had PE today, and a girl from my class saw my cuts. She was like, WTH, you cut yourself? And later like I want to help you! But she already told someone else, although I said I fell and that was where it was from, but she just didn't believe me.. What sould I do? I don't want my parents or anyone else to find out. I feel like there's no one I can trust.

Well, someone finding out isn't a bad thing, you know. Now, you can get the help you need to stop!

What might be best now is to manage the events to follow. So, since it's been told, that would mean NOT waiting to see what happens, but maybe find out who your friend told, and go to that person yourself and tell them in your own words what's been going on for you and what you've done. That way, you're at least in control of how this info gets told to your folks, and what happens next. This will make it better for you, it will take away a lot of the anxiety of not knowing what's next by allowing you to participate in telling your folks and working with them to get to a doc.

And give that friend of yours a hearty 'Thank you!', and maybe some flowers, too. She's a good friend and a good person for doing what she did.

I know how that feels. P.e i have to wear a red polo shirt with short sleeves. when anyone sees them i just hide. and if they ask i say i tripped up and cut em on my desk.
now she knows u can get help!! x

Hun, this has happened to me so many times before.
At first it's weird, but later it just passes.

In P.E. I always wear long-sleeved jumpers, but sometimes the sleeves fall down by accident. I've caught so many people staring at my arms before. Some of them don't say anything but most ask "OMFG why did you do that to yourself?!" I sometimes freak out at them and tell them to fuck off, or if they're just simply asking what happened to my arms I'll just make up some sad excuse.

My friend found out before and she bugged me for a while telling me to stop and then told my other friends. But then the summer holidays came and after she asked if I had stopped and I said yes but the scars hadnt gone yet so still have to wear long sleeves.

So yea some people forget but one of my friends hasnt and uses it against me all the time, He threatens to tell my parents (Even though they know) and everytime I go out of my way with an outfit to get longsleeves he just goes "I know why your wearing that" and gives me this look. :/
But its realy your decision you can use this as a push to get help or you could try to wait it out.. but she might be one of those people that never forget. :confused:

See this is the reason i actually skip PE now. because i dont want everyone asking me. The cuts on my arm are quite obvious and quite big and numerous. So i just make up loads of excuses.

PErsonally i think you should maybe talk to the girl and the other person told and get them not to tell anyone else
