Getting Buried Penis Fixed

Sorry this is really long but I don't know what to do.

My step bro is 5 years older than I am. I'm 14. He's a really cool guy. Like a older real brother who looks out for you. He told me he's worried about my penis growing right because it looks so small when its soft it goes down a lot. He knows I am circumcised but my head gets covered when it's soft and my dick only sticks out about an inch and can even go all the way into my body when it's really soft or cold. I can see my penis if I push down a lot on the base and then I look like a normal guy with a limp dick and my head isn't covered by skin at all. My penis looks pretty short when it's hard. I'm just a little under 5 inches if I push all the way down on the base. If I don't then I look like I'm only 3 inches! The thing is, my step brother is right. I look like I'm a little kid when I'm soft. My penis doesn't hang down like guys I see or my step brother and dad. The weird thing is I'm not fat at all because I've seen pics of fat guys who look like I do but I'm pretty skinny. It's like when my penis isn't hard it just wants to crawl back inside.

I told my step brother my size thing, that I look pretty normal when I'm hard and the base is pushed down all the way and he looked some information up at his college and he thinks I have what's called a buried penis and need to see a urologist (a dick doc). I really don't want to talk to my mom about this or my dad. I asked my step brother if he thought my step dad would mind me asking and he didn't think so but told me either way my parents would have to know. I'm scared I'll have to have an operation to fix it because my step brother said that's what they do when you have a buried penis and then everybody will know! I read about having buried penis a little bit on the interwebz and I think my step brother is right but I'm really scared about everybody knowing and having to get it fixed. It's really embarrassing. I can tell my step dad because he's cool like that but I don't think my mom is. My step brother told me to talk to my mom soon and I asked him to be here when I did but then he said he won't be back home until June so he can't help me. Oh and I think my doctor once talked to my mom about it because two years ago I went to a physical and he talked to my mom outside the door really quietly while I got dressed and he mentioned something about my penis but I couldn't hear it all.

I can come and I have pubes and even a little chest hair and I'm in good shape so I know I'm normal other ways. Anyone else get this or have this problem and did you need an operation or not? Should I tell my mom or my dad or my step dad? I want to get it fixed because I'm sick of looking like a little boy with pubes when my dick is all soft. I don't know what to do now.

I'm not sure your older bro is doing you a favor here, he sounds like he's worrying you needlessly. He's unqualified to determine if you have a problem, and he's unqualified to assess the info he's found on 'buried penis' and determine if it applies to you. At this point, what he's told you amounts to nothing more than heresay, it's a guess, however well intentioned it is.

Let's assume that if there was a real problem, your doc would have told you, certainly your mom, who we should also assume would have told you. Why wouldn't they, esp. if surgery was indicated?

There are a lot of very normal reasons why your penis looks the way it does, let's assume that in the absence of anyone telling you otherwise, that it's just you, that for whatever reason, this is the way it now looks. The important thing is that from your description, it's working just fine.

If you're bothered by this and cannot accept that if there was something terribly wrong with you that required surgery you'd know, then you should take a deep breath and ask either of your parents about it. Whatever temporary embarassment would be more than compensated for by their answer, wiuch would hopefully reassure you and put this issue to rest.

Your brothger, nor you can diagnose you with something. Only a professional can. It sounds like you have a small penis; no big deal. Be happy with who you are. When you have your next physical then you can tell your doctor about it. He will understand and will be able to diagnose you CORRECTLY. Self diagnosis is never a good idea. If you saw your doctor 2 years ago then you will be seeing him soon. Usually you wait 2 years between every physical.

Not only that, but maybe your penis hasn't started growing yet. You've got about 6 more years of growing, so you've got plenty of time. Don't really bother with it or worry about it much. Everyone grows in different ways, so you may have alot of hair and a bunch of other things that come with puberty, there's a chance your penis hasn't started growing yet. Mine was VERY small just a year ago. Not even a year ago, about half a year ago. Flacid it wasn't even an inch. Now it's started to grow and I'm alot happier.

I suggest you wait until your physical. Until then, don't mention it and don't bother with it. Also, doctors almost always talk to the parents quietly after a physical. It's just a bunch of info that might not even concern you. You might THINK that you heard the word penis mentioned by your doictor, but that could do with alot of things and you could havge just imagined hearing it.

You don't have to be fat to have a small penis. Just to clarify that. Because I am a little heavy, and my penis is seven inches. It is just a puberty thing really; you are still growing. There are late and early bloomers.
