maybe you shold have told him its what happens when you get older as he is a bit young and the thought of some of the body changes probably scared him

It was probably a bit weird for him to hear about it from someone outside of his family, so it might have been better to have left it. You could have just said, 'it happens later on in life', and left it at that. Detailing everything that happens in puberty probably was a little much for him, so he acted oddly.

Its hard to believe he's never seen his dad (assuming he's got a father at home). I wouldn't expect a kid to run away in horror, what on earth did you say? All you need to say if it happens again is "its just part of growing up"

i think you shouldn't have gone into it too much, just said it happens to everyone when they get older.

Yeah, you should have left it at "It happens when you get older." His parents should be the ones to tell him about it, or at least a health or life science teacher. They know exactly what to say.

well u probably should have covered u when you were changing but u can't go back and change the past. other than that i don't think you could have said anything else. he still would have been curious.

hard question to answer....i think it would be hard for a 7 year old to take in - but he was just gonna hear it in a couple years anyway.:what:

You probably should have just told him "it happens when you get older". I mean think about it, if you were a jolly little 7 year old and everything was dandy, how would you feel if someone just told you about all this weird stuff?
Plus, when your little a lot of kids are shy about their privates (well I was anyway), even if both of you were guys, the little dude might have been shy about his dick so he ran away to his older sister...makes sense!

I think it was just a little to much for someone his age to take in all at once you should have just told him it was normal

I think it's ok for u to tell him but not in detail just very simple like it all part of growing up or... yea that's about. I just think u prolly scared him

I agree with Jordan...14, if you had just said, it happens as you get older, and just left it, then it probably would've been fine, but the thought of all those changes probably frightened him, but he'll get over it.
