I'm scared for my friend

So, my friend is 15 turning 16 and her bf turns 18 sometime this week. I'm wondering if they are like... caught kissing or anything will they get in trouble? Isn't it illegal for him to go out with her? Because he's basically 18? I'm really worried because they really like each other and i dont want anything to happen to them...

Well, no, if 'someone' finds them kissing, it's not so much of a problem. The police or the FBI or the CIA don't go around checking ID's.

The difficulty when it's over 18 + under 16 is if some adult presses charges, like a parent, or if the minor does. But, if both are consenting, and all the parents are as well, it's more of a social issue than a legal one.

Well Sam pretty much won as usual but keep in mind that since your friends BF is eighteen, he has the legal right to buy cigarettes and others, which could be realllllllly bad for your friend, if they get to involved in smoking (not saying they are or will). If that happens, then you really have something to worry about.

Yeah, once he turns 18 their's alot of things that he could do that's illegal for her, yet she might want to try whatever he's trying. As for the age difference, it's really only for sex. If he's 18 then, no matter what state your in in the US, it's illegal. For some states theirs no law for homosexuals, but this is a guy/girl relationship so yeah, as long as they don't have sex.

jst to add a litle sumthng..i think if dey end up hafing sex..n some1 gets hold of dem..den i guess it myt b a problem...kz she wud still b underaged...n i supose u r nt allowed to haf sex..before 18
or if her parents wat to complaint...in sum sort of way saying..."dat dis adult guy is trying to use ...or u kno kinda manipulate our underaged daughter..hu cant realy..or is legaly allowed to make decisions"
so i guess he cud b in trouble :O
