Which do you prefer to write in?

Why?

I love writing in first person. It's so easy to express so much more emotion, it's easier to build up suspense because your main character can't see everything else that's hapening. Plus, when writing in first person, you get to put more expression into your writing, and be able to get away with things you wouldn't when you were writing in third person..

So yes, first person for me. :)

I agree with you there. First person is a LOT easier for creative writing. You know what the main charecter thinks of something, and have their thoughts.

i rarely write in third person, unless it HAS to be depersonalized for whatever reason (school work mostly. some stories)

i like both, and i often switch back and forth.

i like third-person for novel writting.
i like first for shorter pieces.

and i like to vary in short stories.

i mostly do novel writting so i prefer third

I like both. I find it more fun to write in third person because you can really "customize" the character you're writing about (though you can do the same thing in first person, I just find it more fun in third person).

I love writing in both!
It all depends on the genre of writing though.

I kind of prefer 3rd person, but I always accidentally end up talking in 1st person, so I have to do major edits when I'm done writing :P

I prefer third, mostly because I tend to write longer pieces and there aren't any pronouns for 'I', so it tends to get repetitive.

I like writing in both 1st and 3rd, but what's fun to read is second person. I used to love to read the choose your own adventure books.

Third person, I like the omniscient value to it.
You know what's going on with everybody,
And it's easier to write in that form for me.

I'm writing short stories and I prefer third person, but then I also write in First person. It depends on what you are writing :D
