Hey, i was over the residential unit and i havd my elbow over a lamp, as i went to get up i touched the light bulb by accidnet, i jumped up and almost shouted. i left it for ar ond 10minsu ntil it was un bearable and cooled it with a wet paper towel and running cool water.

now it didnt bother me until last night when i was in the swimming pool, i was messing aroung and i cought it, it looked as if it had blistered and popped. now last night i had a bath with savlon (a disinfectant safe for bath and hygenical use) and afterwards dryed it and put a Graze plaster over it, it was just big enough to cover it, it is quite a big burn mark, about the size of the top of a lucazade 330ml bottle.

which is quite big, i have also treated it with Sudeocreme for minor burns and soreness. this has not helped however. i am asking weather or not i am doing the right thing s and is there anything out there to stop it from being soo flippen sore.. (OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW)

I mean, i've had the plaster on for aorund 20 hours which has protected it from scratching but i need the air to it, when i took it off and had a bath it stung to even have it out the water and in the water. there was no pleasing it.

Is there anything out there? please reply :)

I might sound crazy, so don't listen to me, lol.
But personally, when I have something that's sore I pull the skin really tight so it hurts... It seems to make it hurt a little less. But that might just be me.

Try putting a bag of frozen peas on it?

Wavey, burns are probably the most painful injury b/c of the actual tissue injury. The pain is reflective of that damage, it takes time to heal.

The best thing to do is put a little Neosporin (or other) antibacterial cream over it and keep it covered when you're active, try to keep it dry (esp. when you're washing/showering), and when it's safe, (as in no chance of you knocking it or wetting it) take the bandage/plaster off and let the air hit it.

i work around grills and hot pans most days so trust me, i've had plenty of burns.
something that sounds completely ridiculous (but works) is placing sliced pickles on the burn and then using mustard to help it from blistering.
but if you're not so daring, neosporin is always the best option.
