Which do you prefer, and why?

-------------------------

I prefer tampons.

~ Not messy
~ Quicker to change
~ More comfortable

Get outta here Addi! :P

Anyways, I prefer tampons. Cleaner, easy to be active in, hardly feels like I'm on my period at all. More comfortable too. :)

I've wanted to try using tampons but haven't yet, I always use pads.

pads. I'm kinda iffy on the whole "tampons" thing... can cause infections and such...

Tampons pwn all. xP I'm a heavy bleeder, and I can't tell you how many times I had to call my mom to bring me a change of pants in 5th and 6th grade. :whoops: I usually end up wearing a super tampon AND a pad (at least a pantiliner). Overnight, this tends to make the difference between staining my sheets and not, and it lets me get through class without worrying that I'm soaking through my jeans. That combination lasts me up to four hours on a day when I'm bleeding full force (I often change them every 2 or 3 at school though, so I don't have to leave in the middle of class). As things calm down I might switch to regular tampons because I don't need as much absorption power. Besides, I'm not fond of that I-just-wet-my-pants feeling of a wet pad.

Chaos and Icewing, a few tips about tampons: Whether or not you use them is entirely your choice, but remember that the risk of toxic shock syndrome is pretty low when you use your tampons properly (meaning you change them AT LEAST every 8 hours). The infection results from that blood sitting in a warm wet spot for a long time. The blood isn't flowing anymore, it's technically "dead", and infections love warm wet spots like that. If you're not bleeding enough to need to change them every 6 hours, even, then you probably don't need to use them anyways, a pad will be fine. As for getting them stuck.... how did that happen? The little string is designed so you can pull them out, and it's woven into the rest of it so it can't pull off. You'd have to cut it. Chances are unlikely that you'd have the same problem. Like I said, it's up to you, but there's no reason to be afraid of them. :)

Ok, I'm going to have to say pads.
For the simple fact that I don't bleed that heavily and it's nothing really bad except for one day out of four.
