My aspiration is to become a doctor. I know it's hard work. I know it takes a long time. But in the end, it'll be worth it. And it's the only job that I would truly enjoy.
So for anyone out there with an opinion, you have your chance to make a mark on my future. As a doctor, I have to have a specialty, of course. I think I'll go for a double specialty. This is where you come in. In what fields do you think I should specialise? At the moment, I'm thinking Infectious Diseases and Immunology. But that's just me. I want to hear your two cents.

Well, it depends on what your liking is. I'm in 2nd year university, and I love neurology, neuropsychology, neuroscience, etc... .
I'm not sure what grade or year of university or college you're in but if you're in highschool, you'll learn some basics about the various systems on the body. You'll find you may have a liking for 1 over the other. For me, I hated learning about the circulatory system. I loved learning about infectious diseases (thought about doing that also) and the nervous system. For me, I've done some courses dedicated to microbiology all about the DNA, RNA, some cell anatomy and physiology, and it's wonderful to know how some of the mechanisms work.
I'd say, try going for one first. If 1 is hard, 2 will be too hard. However, in your case, those 2 are quite related. So, if you learn about 1, you will learn a decent amount about the other.
If you've had any education in either of them, then that'd make it easier to decide. It's your choice, I don't know you so I cant say.

I like the brain
If I was ever to study to be a doctor I'd study the brain either psychology/sociology or even neurology!
