It's not just what you have, it's what your partner might have.
STD's can be transmitted thru oral sex, notably herpes. And, it can be transmitted either To the person getting it or giving it, depending on who has it. And, washing before does NOT prevent infection/transmission.

Buying condoms is one of the most tantalizing things for teenagers to do, but really it's simple. You can buy them at almost all gas stations (which sometimes have vending machines in the bathroom of that makes it easier), or convenient stores. Don't worry about the casheirs and other people, it's your buisness and they have no reason to interfere.
Also, most clinics have a jar of the somewhere in the bathroom, so if you go there and ask if you can use their bathroom, you could get some.

Yup. Agreed.
If you want to be safe, use a condom.
If you want to risk having an STD for the rest of your life, well, um... OK?
Here is some good info on STDs [even though it's mainly focused on AIDS] and Condoms.

Yes it is a good thing to take a shower before having any type of sex. There is nothing more than a turn off to be with a person who stinks of body order.
It is true that even just getting oral sex you can get STDs. Most people don't use condoms for oral sex but they do make flavor condoms just for this purpose.
Just to be safe if a person has any open sores on their mouth don't kiss or have oral sex with this person at all.
You can get condoms at any drug store and most grocery stores. Even most convenience stores have them. When buying them just have confidence in your self when walking up to the counter to buy them. It helps if you buy something else when you are buying them. If the person looks at you just smile at them back.

I agree with Rob that the issue here is not so much health as much as common courtesy and basic hygiene. No one wants to be with a bad smelling person, and there is no bigger turn off to sexual activity than body odour. Basically, if you want your sexual activity to go by well, then you need to smell good and not like a barn.
Showers and bathing will not eliminate STDs or any sort, and as Rob mentioned, you should look out for any abnormalities on your partner. Of course, many STDs are not readily apparent as they are microscopic, and you should always expect that your partner has a STD test assuming that he/she is not a virgin, and you should do the same if you are not a virgin, too.

I think a condom is the "most" safe precaution ... prevents you from getting and infection / diseases from your partner .. tough i think 14 is a bit too young for having any kind of intercourse ... if i were you i would wait a bit ;)

He is talking about getting a blow job not having sex. Do you even read the OP post.
I did agree with wearing a condom. I told him to get a flavored condom for oral sex.

I never understand that. Why in the world can't teens wait? I understand hormones and stuff, but keep 'em under control! Pregnancy, if with a girl, is not good at your age! That's a lot of responsibility, and as for oral sex, meh, go ahead. I'm just warning you that you might catch something.
