Does she like me? Should I ask her out?

So there's this girl lets name her Mikayla. Since I met her we became pretty decent friends. We call each other our best friends now. We txt each other a lot. Once she even asked me who I like. So I asked her back she said and now shes going out with him but we still talk a lot. Whenever she walks past me in school she smiles and I love that smile hahah. =] What should I do?

I told her no one because she said she liked the guy I do know, and someone I don't know.

But if I tell her I like her what would happen to just our friendship if she doesn't like me back? o.o

If she is already in a relationship, and you are both "best friends", I highly suggest that you don't go for asking her out. At least now anyway.
She may like you, yes. But when she asked you, did you tell her you liked her? (I apologize if this had already been mentioned in the post.)
The least you can do is tell her. But if she is happy with this guy, don't go blowing her relationship totally over. Friends don't do that.
