You are truly in love with this girl if you will save your virginity for her and her virginity for you. Sex is the ultimate consumation between man and woman after marriage. Love=feeling, it's an emotion. Based on experience with that person as a nurturer and emotional care taker. usually takes some time to evolve

Lust=sexual arousal. Usually is the more immediate result of what's physiacally appealing. Based on 'personal taste', fantasy, prior experience. Most often has little to do with any actual emotional experience with the person.

I would tend to think that you would know if you were truly in love with her... but anyways, try thinking about what it is about her that you like best - whether her personality, sense of humour, kindness etc come to mind first or whether your thoughts are all physical should give you some idea why you like (or love) this girl so much.

I don't think you'll truly ever know in High school because your bodies are still raging with hormones. The key here is time.
