I have another problem. My iPod nano is refusing to charge. I just plugged it into the USB port and it just won't charge! Here's the situation:

About a few weeks ago I lost my iPod. It was on a full battery and in a protective case. I put it up for the night and when I wake up, it's gone. So I finally found it and guess what? Someone decided to be an asshole and take all of the life out of the battery. So someone in my house took my iPod and just let it run off it's battery.

Now I can't charge it! I'm getting the error screen that says "Low Battery. Connect to Power." and I'm getting the Apple logo. Then it goes to the main menu then it goes to the "Connected. Ejecect before disconnecting" screen and then all over again it does the same. Why is my iPod doing this? I'm getting tired of having to come down to the basement to listen to music.

I just want someone who can help fix this problem so I don't have to save another 200 bucks for a new iPod. Any help here?

Have you tried leaving it plugged in? Mine sometimes gets so low that it takes ages before it will switch on and start charging.

Uh, try just leaving it there for a long time. If it keeps repeating... I dunno, if it's your computer's fault, they have iPod wall chargers at some stores? But I don't think you'd wanna spend $30 (I think that's the price.) on something that probably won't fix it. =/

It's no longer repeating the sequence, now it just has the "Low Battery" screen. I left it in all night long and it's still not doing anything. I opened iTunes this morning and my iPod is corrupted. So it's obvious that something must be damaged inside right?

I tried to restore it, but iTunes couldn't. So, let me guess, I'll have to shell out money for a new iPod if I'm unable to get this fixed right?

Just leave it on the charger for a ocuple of days, mine did that before(twice) and it might fix its self.

OK, it's fine right now. I just had to leave it on the charger. I never thought it would work, but I guess it did. Thanks guys.

I suppose if shit hit the fan, the ipod battery could be replaced quite easily by DIY.

as for the corruption, not too sure ;)
