Well, this is just a random picture that I drew, because I was really bored and anxious about summer lol.

Well, thank you :) ... I think there are lots of mistakes though..... but I guess that must just be because I'm a perfectionist? Lol

It's not bad, nice and simple. Something seems off about the nose though, I can't quite put my finger on it.

now Don't take this the wrong way, you asked for advice, so I'll give it!

Your ready for the next step. Right now, it looks kinda bland and white. You should start shading to make it pop it out more. ( Shade the parts of the body that are overlaying, or away form the viewer). Blend the shading well so you can't see the individual lines, but so you can just see it fade from light to dark. What I just said is pretty much nothing compared to the whle lesson, but start out with that.

If you were able to draw that, you should easily be able to shade!!:)

To me it feels as if the nose is on her cheek instead of in the middle of her face.
Nice drawing though!

She's supposed to be sitting at a slight angle, so her face is slightly distorted because of that. :) It's the same way in real life... sorta... like if you look at someone from about a 45 degree angle, their nose doesn't normally appear to be centered.

Even angled, they're right. The nose doesn't look placed right.
Other than that it looks pretty sweet. ;)

And lol, you need a better scanner/camera, which ever you used.

I really love the hair and the detail in the eyes - good job :)
The nose does look kinda misplaced, but I only really noticed it after reading the other posts, so I dont think it's noticeable much :P
Well done, you're a great drawer (much better than I could ever be lol) :D

Wonderful picture! Keep it up.

But if you want a critique I'm your guy.

* the tail should start from the tail bone (that would make sense)
* how is she holding up that umbrella, it should be resting on her shoulder
* is she an amputee? where are her legs?
* I understand the nose and the angle but sometimes things in real life don't translate as well on paper

Her legs are tucked under herself (I think) :P

I would have to agree with the amputee comment

If you want her to be sitting on them, you need to show a little under her leg, you know how when you sit on your legs the other part still shows yea. It would probably take a few lines to do that

It took about 45 minutes to an hour to draw, but it was only in pencil. If I would have taken the time to colour it with my markers and pencils it could have taken hours. Lol.

I think it's good. =) Here are my critiques:

Her right arm looks a little awkward; I know mine doesn't bend that way. That pose looks like it was probably hard to draw. =3
Her eyes look a little crooked, like maybe they're tilted inward a little too much. Also, why does she look so sad? She's at the beach! xD
The umbrella isn't quite resting on her shoulder, and she isn't really gripping it in her hand, it looks like she's just sort of resting her hand on it. So it kinda looks like the umbrella is hovering in mid-air. I also think you probably should have looked at an actual umbrella or a picture of one (google) when you drew it; the top part doesn't really look like an umbrella to me. It's too round and the bottom edges are too straight.
Also, Neko is clearly a thin girl, but the size of her stomach just looks a little unhealthy. It doesn't look proportional with the size of her legs.

It's a cute picture. =3 I hope I helped. Keep drawing! I think you could do really well if you tried shading a little more. But if less shading is just your style, then draw the way you want to. =)
