Do you think it would be a good idea for fast-food chains like McDonalds, Taco Bell, Subway, Burger King, and many many others, to go delivery like Dominos and whether or not it would be a good business decision?

BAD. To keep the price of their food cheap and the service in restaurant which is already suffering, alive, they need all the attention in establishment as possible.

Bad, silly idea, its something you have when your out with mates or coming home not something you really want when your in the house, its cool I guess for some people but I'd prefer a pizza in.

There are only a couple of McDonald's in the world that deliver. The one near West Point delivers to the cadets on campus when they are too busy studying to go out and eat somewhere. I honestly think it is a fairly good idea for some restaurants, however not all fast food restaurants have a need for delivery. Most of the time, fast-food shouldn't need to deliver, and delivering it would be a waste of money for the employers to hire delivery boys. Overall, there is not a need for fast-food delivery, but if it's possible, it may make some more money for the company.

Delivery will just be an excuse for people to stuff their faces and walk even less.

It would be bad for business and even worse on health. Hiring the appropriate amount of drivers, buying the vehicles, fuel, etc... would be an expensive undertaking. It also gives people one more excuse to sit on their asses and feed their faces. Nothing hard about getting up off your arse and walking (or driving) to a fast-food place. That, and if you are having friends over, is it more common to have the slices of pizza or some greasy, tiny burgers? Pizza is socially more of a food.

in theory it would sound good but i don't think it would work in practice too well. they already screw orders up enough as it is. they would have to hire drivers, but already maintain a high level of in store staff to keep the stores user friendly for people coming through drive through or eating in at their restaurants. bottom line is i don't think it would work too well.

I don't think delivery would be cost effective for them. As soon as gas prices go back up they will be losing too much money. If they hire people with their own cars the price of gas will keep people from applying for delivery jobs.

Yeah, I think it's a bad idea. it will jyst increase the food prices, it will pollute too much, and people will walk less! If people want to eat, at least make them walk and drive for it! Also, mistaken orders will be more difficult to deal with. Can you imagine how pissd someone would be to drive to a house, have the wrong thing, drive back and then drive bakck the the house? It's insane!

Mcdonalds does deliver in some areas but i think it is bad because the stuff is fatty enough so delivering would make people be even lazier
