teenage insecurities

well, where to start lol...

i am 16 years old (17 at the end of april) and i wuldnt say im worried about my body, just slightly in secure.

i have had my growth spurt (am now 6ft 1) and my voice has broken. however i am not exactly hairy. i have no chest hair, only recently gotten armpit hair and i only have about 2.5 inches upwards from the tip of my 'member' and i dont have a snail trail (happy trail, whatever you want to call it) i have been insecure about pubic hair since around age 14 and i would of thought by nearly 17 i wuld be as hairy as an adult like other people are.

despite this i know i am not under developed because i am not exactly small in the size department. i can honestly say with my hand on heart i am a little over 7 inches erect.

do you think i am just not a hairy person, or will i grow more pubic hair and chest hair etc sometime in the near future.

if it helps i wuld class my self as a slow developer i.e it has taken me like 3-4 years to get to the stage i am at now

one more question, i have spoken to my dad about insecurities in general and he ensures me that he has an 8 and a half incher. most people wuld think this is a lie but i know he is 100 percent honest. do you think that because i have not yet developed all my hair i culd end up with something near that size in a few years time???

Well I aint a gorrilla nor is my dad (or my mum thank god)!

why do you want to be hairy anyway alot wax it all off now so save yourself the pain and stay bald chested lolz

I have a light snail trail or whatever and few hairs on chest but thats how some like it.
I prefer it like that and would hate to have to wax it off

Since many things are based on genetics, it is quite possible that you will end up like your dad in a lot of ways. However, everyone has their ifferences and fluctuations, so don't expect to be an exact copy.

Now, we can't say if you will be a hairy person or not quite yet. Puberty generally lasts until about 20 or 21 years of age, so you have another 3 or 4 years left to go. That is a lot of time, and many things could happen in that time, including lots of hair growth.

So don't worry, don't feel insecure. If it's going to happen, it will happen in due time, but like you said, it could just be that you are not a very hairy person. Time will tell. Just be happy with who you are.

Forgive me saying that I find the thought of you're dad's comments rather creepy. We're all different, body hair is in my opinion much overrated. If you're 6'3 and 7" what the hell have you got to complain about?

My advice would be to ask your dad how hairy he is considering that its based on genetics nad what you inherit from him so if hes not hairy its not likely for you to be

ummm...Wow....idk...i think maybe im a slow developer too...cuz my voice isnt exactly deep...and im 15...but i can say i have hair and im 7" inches when erect...idk....puberty stops at around 20...so u have some years still

Everyone is different, and develops at a different rate. I hate hearing this advice, but you must be patient!

I agree I'm only 4'7" be happy maybe you'll get hair or not as the famous philospher monty python said "always look on the bright side of life" lol

You are one very honest person. If you are concerned about your genital size, more people will be happy to where you at right now. IF you are concerned about being hairy, some people like to shave, some people would like to get more hair. The bottom line is you FEEL GOOD FOR WHO YOU ARE. We are all created in the image of God and because of that YOU ARE JUST PERFECT. YOU are the cool you! And this goes to anyone who reads this.
