OMG. I haven't watched it for a while but I fell in love with it :)
I like how it isn't a typical vampire movie. Same with the characters ^_^

the movie was quite frankly a disappointment, the budget should have been set alot higher, everbody who has ever met a girl knows that almost every girl (+ some guys) were raging to see it, there was no doubt that it would meet the budget. Robert Patterson...is, tbh was not right for the role of edward, there are much better candidates for edward (bella could have been cast better as well). The special effects...the "blood" was probably done with tomato sauce. For what they are, the books are SO much better.

I used to think that Pattinson was a sh!t actor, but then I saw this and I now see him in a whole new light.
Yes... Bella could've been better.
I thought the effects were rather good. Although, I never think that blood is done adequately -in anything- it was at least average for Twilight.

I was actually thinking about getting the books and then the movie. Looks OK to me, but not that amazing. Edward's hair looks like it needs a washing.

I wanna see it. I am on the third book. but the thing that bothered me in the previews is that I pictured edward and bella's characters differently.

It was just okay...I'm not a Twilight freak but it was fun to go out and see the movie. Could've been better, though. The Twilight fangirls make me sick, so it makes me kind of embarrassed to like Twilight. I still don't think it's all that great, though. There's better.
Well, at least they're not making that Twilight anime >.<

Lol, Thats exact how I think/thought about it.
Ive read the books and I adore them. The movie Definatly isnt as good, but its Amazing in its own way. To be honest I dont think they got the intense-ness between Bella and Edward right. I just never saw the Passion when they looked at eachother.. well not as much passion as they are supposed to have. I dont know how they are going to do the next film, but I hope they get it right. That ones my favourite.

So I saw this for the first time last night. Ben's daughter is one of those fan girls.
Wow, this movie was retarded. It was cheesy, it was stupid, and it was boring.
And Bella, wow, don't get me started on her. To me she is one of the worse actresses around. She was bad in Speak, She was bad in Twilight. Find a new girl and maybe the movie will be decent.

HA. Me and my lil' sis' had an arguement on that... She totally believe that the movie characters modelled for the book and I just cannot convience her otherwise... The resemblance is too close.

Movie was utter rubbish.
Read the entire series though, the books are awesome and the movie does the first book no where near justice, although I have to give Catherine Hardwicke (director) credit for trying, trying to pack that book into two hours, what with the complex relationships etc can't have been a very easy task.

DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON THIS !!!!!
love the story, hate the books, hate most of all the last book. Stephenie Meyer is not a good writer, and the ending was biased of what she liked, not what would of been more beneficial for the story. She didn't want a hamlet ending, well don't have a Hamlet ending, just dont get your readers all worked up for 100 pages on a battle that never happened!!
Rant over ~
The movie was good and bad, and cheese. My fav part was when Bella is being bitten by James. Don't ask me why, but i got all worked up during that scene.
Ahhh Bella could of been better, Rosalie could of been casted better. I think the rest of the characters were alright.
I like Kristen, but she's not bella-like enough.
and what else?????
oh the books are written horrible. =]
oh i hate the screaming girl going "EDWARD!!!!!"
he's not real.

Technically this thread is for the movie, sorrowsingssoftly.
I always think opinions on book turn movies are really interesting, especially since it's normally that the movie doesn't live upto the novels.

Ha i totally agree with you about the battle thing because they spent pretty much the whole last section of the book on getting ready for a stupid battle that never even happened! Agh it wrecked my head!

When I was heading out to San Diego "Twilight" was the in-flight movie. I just couldn't get into it. I'm not sure why, but it just didn't seem too great, yet all the fangirls are literally obsessed with it.

I don't think it's terrible, but I don't think it's good either.

The movie is too corny for my liking, and it bored me to tears. I would have been more entertained watching paint dry.

I think that the books are alright but the movie is horrible.
They can't act and Edward looks disgusting.
Also, a 100+ year old vampire who WATCHES teenage girls sleep, IS a pedophile.

No, it's not that the actors couldn't act, it's just that the director sucks. I recently saw Adventureland and Kristin was amazing in it.
And to think that Catherine Hardwicke (the director, and god I hope I spelled it right) is going to direct the Maximum Ride movie. T_T

Oh snap, you got me there. I wouldn't say one little grammar mistake means I have bad grammar but okay sure, I have bad grammar, that still doesn't excuse the fact that the Twilight books are bad, god-awful, horrible, sucky.. should I go on? Maybe I should get out my thesaurus like SMeyer apparently did to write those fan-fics, oops I mean books.
Twilight series = middle aged woman's wet dream. Can someone convince me otherwise?

Oh. Gutted. And my hiogh hopes for the Max Ride film are already out of the window...
As for Twishite...
The film blows IMO, it's borin as all hell, and the books are alright, they're just stupidly slow/boring reads... >.<
Spin.. You're virtually right.. It's every single females' wet dream. The only single females I know that don't idolise Edward/Bella/the series in general don't know what Twishite is, fortunately for them.

I couldn't even finish the book. That girl was a dipshit, in my opinion. Something about it, I didn't like. Most romance stuff nowadays pisses me off. I like "Romancing the Stone" kind of stuff

Haha, well I'm a girl and I've heard of Twilight and I've read it, worst decision ever. I know a lot of girls actually who strongly dislike Twilight. I didn't mean every females' wet dream, although it kind of is *shudders*. I was mainly talking about how Twilight seems like it came from SMeyer's wet dream. Just by the way it's written you can tell that this woman probably fantasized about this, which is very disturbing and vomit inducing. I don't understand why any female in their right mind would describe Edward and Bella's abusive relationship as cute or romantic. Twilight is just the flavor of the month right now so in 15 years it won't be remembered, matter of fact I think it will be forgotten soon after the last movie comes out in 2011, then there will be drinks all around! :yeah:

I did like the movie but yeah it really relied on Robert Pattinson being awesome and I felt it kind of worked because the chick was so average she was practically in the theater with the fans.
