I have the same problem. I need the answer too. I guess just wash profusely in that area. And you'll be good for a while. But I need the answer also! SO HELP ME TOO!

Gee, this is the second q like this today.

Everyone has their own smell, but it should be pretty subtle, and certainly not unpleasant. iI it is, then you're either not washing properly, not washing frequently, or maybe have a little nasty, like a fungal infection.

Or, mayeb those spandex tighties are a bit too tight, and you're sweating so much that you're smelling that? If that's the case, try cotton briefs, they'll give you the support and privacy you're looking for (very similiar to spandex), and they'll keep you drier b/c cotton absorbs moisture/sweat, while spandex does not. Also, and relatedly, if you're wearing spandex and sweating more, you increase significantly the chances of developing a fungal, as they thrive in the warm, moist environs there, soemthing which would smell, and itch, and be quite uncomforable.

Ditch the spandex, get briefs, shower daily (after exercise), maybe put on some corn starch powder, and see if it helps.

in reply to IAMSAM it is under armor so it is created to wick away moisture from the wearers body

That doesn't mean that you can't try an alternative. You say it happens when you wear those types of boxer-briefs? Then obviously the boxer-briefs are at fault, so it's time to try something new and see if that helps. Really, it's pretty much the option you've got, either that or just deal with it (Not advisable).

So give another type of underwear a chance for a few days and see if it helps.

i don't think you can do something with

it's not that awful if you don't have much time to take a shower

I'm aware that it wicks moisture, but wicking action just pulls the moisture off your skin. Spandex is nylon, nylon cannot really absorb moisture or hold it in the fibers, it just pulls it from your skin onto itself. So, the water is still in contact with you, providing a breeding ground for bacteria, and hence, a smell.

Try cotton briefs. Cotton fibers absorb moisture, keeping it away from your skin.
