It's on my desk right now. Stupid thing is almost impossible to find retail in Canada, and Steam can bite my butt - change rate is making it too expensive.
I can't wait for the patch that'll allow full campaign multi.
I've only tried Road to Independance as of now. I don't like how early muskets shoot (apparently you need a tech to make them shoot volleys worth the name) but that's nothing bayonet charges and sticking Indians in a crossfire do not solve.
Naval battles are extremely pimp. I'm a Rome/Medieval 2 player myself and the autobattle AI was so retarded with naval battles - good thing I can demast crap myself.
They got rid of diplomats. Good riddance. Diplomacy is done on a single screen and it's much better than in Med2 where everyone would turn on you for peanuts.
There's more stuff but I'm lazy. Nevertheless, it's a big improvement. Get it, like it, or I'm going to go Line Infantry on your arse.
To the rest of the board : you're all sissies for not commenting on the greatness that is ETW.

This game looks awesome!! You can take control of the great British Empire ships and blow everyone else to pieces!
About time a game like this was made I think.
The thing with this game is that everyone will either love being the British and killing everybody, or love destroying England to pieces. :P
That's just the way of the world.

Where did you get the demo from?
And yes, rebels aren't the nicest of the bunch.

Steam
Its a website where you can download demos and purchase games, by downloading it onto your computer.

I can run the game at ultra settings and battles take like 30 seconds to load with no lag.
I had to get tissues the first few times I played because the game is so beautiful I came in my pants.

Well, you probally have a gaming comp and the graphics are amazing, even for the comp that I used, even though the processor isn't good enough, but the graphics were still good w/o a graphics card.
The loading time for the demo, before the battle is like 20 minutes, so I will not buy unless my parents buy a better processor.

Oh, you run on integrated graphics.
Poor you.
I run a rig with two video cards, a quad core and 4GB of RAM. >_>

Geeze..
I wish i had all that so I could kick ass and chew bubble gum, but even though Im all out of bubblehum.
What i want to the most is the ship battles, I hate the autoresolve in Rome Total War.

Ok, now we are spamming this, so Ill ask you is the diplomancy better? Like, do you ahve to hire diplomats and if you can, do you they become traitors?

Diplomats are gone. You just open a window to deal with other nations.
The AI is also less of a ***** about breaking alliances. They seem more durable.

Not like it really matters, like in Rome Total War, the Ai is too far away to attack you unless its the Barabarians, like the Gual, The GErmans, The Britons, adn the Dacia. No countries ever attack me, but yet I do play on easy. :P
Are the battles more fun and do generals still give speeches?
And on the battle part, when I mean fun, Im talking about large battlefields and you can have more regiments in your little box o' troops in the bottom.

No speeches. Each faction speaks its original language so it doesn't matter. I personally prefer that as I wasn't aware Romans spoke English.
Battles are pretty awesome. Volleys of fire down many guys. POW POW POW POW dead bodies everywhere

Aww... Im gonna miss those speeches..
They were cool unless they said something stupid like, " I ahve fought thses men many times." On my first battle with the Eygptians..
And are you serious? The soldiers dont speak English, except for the Brits and Americans?
EDIT: Well, Im use tot hat in Age Of Empires, so that wouldn't really bug me I guess, and are sure no more speeches?

French soldiers speak French, Prussian soldiers speak German, Brits speak English, Spanish soldiers speak Spanish, etc. I personally have a lot of trouble playing games where every faction speaks English.
And no, no speeches.

Why dont you like everyone speaking English? It can amke things easier, but it is cooler to hear everyone sepak in their native tounge.

I study modern languages and want to use them for a living. It's simply a little pet peeve of mine to have every nation speak English.
