I think the quality of the first time is determined more by readiness than anything else.

Typically, many people sorta fall into their first experience, or are otherwise unprepared for it emotionally. Those people are the ones most likely to remember their first time as unsatisfactory or disappointing.

As jordan said, nerves and simply not knowing what to do can ruin your first time. Also it can hurt for the girl (especially if she doesnt masturbate) because she would be 'tight' and her hymen could break (if it wasnt already broken).

all i can really say is - not that i can talk - is to be ready for your first sexual experience, don't jump into it randomly one night, especially not for your first time

well my first time was not that good... he did not really know what he was doing, and neither did i. but it will get better over time, so just dont expect much from a first timer, and you will not be disappointed

First times usually aren't that great because there are always performance issues and other issues with not knowing how to have sex.

One thing to remember as in anything practice makes perfection.

Also always use protection.
