Swimming is an amazing way to exercise. Because the density of water is similar to the density of the human body, your body is supported by the water and puts less stress on your bones and joints compared to working out at the gym or anywhere on dry ground ;P. Swimming is a cardio exercise so it will work out mostly every part of your body.

As long as you're safe about it.
As with most sports, there are risks in swimming. Drowning (lol), swimming into a wall (painful...) or potentioally overusing your sholders (oww oww owwwwwwww!).
Don't let that scare you. Any of that isn't likely to happen unless you're totally unsafe about it [well maybe the swim into wall if you're doing backstroke, but it's not that dangerous]
As was said, it's cardio for you :P
It's also a lot less injuring on your body then any land sport or running, because the water is like.. floating
:) have fun in the pools

Yeah, I love swimming. First of all, no being uncomfortable bacause of sweating and itching. Second, less strain on your bones. When you run your legs take alot of pounding from all of your weight being forced upon them. I think it's one of the best forms of exercise.
