hover your mouse over the vt logo. see how that little box tells you what the link is? thast what should happen when u hover over a thread title--it should reveal the full title. ive seen this on many better forums and it dissapoints me that we dont have it

alt tags dont put any more strain on the server than your being hidden does. when ur hidden it actually has to COUNT the amount of people who are hidden and put it in a separate word. thats way more complex than just having an alt tag

Being hidden doesn't put anymore strain on the server than being online does. When the location request is called, all it has to do is respond with "Hidden" instead of "Online, at $currentview". And phpBB still will tally up the hidden users, even if there aren't any, in which case it returns a 0.

A MOD for this would put more strain on the downstream of the client and the upstream of the server, but it would propably help out in the long run.

Sorry that I haven't been around too much recently. I've been ill and school work is starting to pile up with midterms around the corner.

I'm surprised to see what greeted me on the forum index and in my PM inbox. Even though, I have a huge amount of HW awaiting me, first, I'll try to catch up on what's happened. The modifications will have to take a back seat.
