Some thing has come to my mind a while ago. While most of us agree that any sexuality is given to you while in the womb. What if there was another way? What if certain things that have happened in your life could affect your sexuality? For instance. A boy who dosent like football and enjoys hockey and is called gay through his childhood could inevitably become gay? A girl who enjoys things like computers and cars is called a boy will actually think that they are.? People who are exposed in the straight community will become straight with no homosexual feelings because there brain can tell that its unusual.
This is just a thought. I dont want to sound like I am against the LGBT community as I am gay myself.
What do you think?

Ahh well thats what I generally think..
I tend to believe that there is problably some genetic pre-disposition that encourages it... But I've always strongly thought that the majority of it was really psychological..
Of course I wouldn't know, so I can only assume

Ahhh the old nature versus nurture debate (but in a slightly different context).
Well... There is evidence to suggest that slight differences in structure of the brain like the hypothalamus and hormone levels in the womb or in the body throughout life can cause sexuality.
I take your point about certain events in life causing it and especially like your (possibly accidental) reference to how people try to fit into what they see is their place in society as dictated by others around them (talking about the girl with football and cars).
I think it is a mixture of these things, and is seen in all sorts of proportions. There is no answer really because each person is different and there are so many different view points that one can take on a certain event and the results of it.

I agree. I came up with a theory that I cncluded from music. Sexuality also involves environment. Here's my proof:
Older people tend to like older music and hate rap and all the songs in these days, while kids can't stand old music (most kids anyways) and they love rap and hip hop and more recent music. Kids weren't exposed to older music being popular so they turned to recent music and now old music is mostly liked by older folks.
So...based on that I figured that if gays are fraud apun in a society then a child is less likely to become gay. If gays are fully accepted then more will think of it as alright. Of course, there are some who are completely born gay...I learned this from a show that did research on it and someopne even posted it on here a few weeks ago.
