Good camera

I'm looking to try and buy a new digital camera sometime soon, but I've never bought one before. I've always used other people's. I was just curious to know which ones are good and take good photos. If you have any info, I'd appreciate it. If you have the camera that you're recommending, or even links to photos that you've taken with it, that would be great.

I have an Olypus. I'm sure there are better, but it works fine for me. I'm not much of a camera person though. I payed like $80 for it, but I think it cost about $120, not sure.

A good camera? Well expect to pay at least $6,000 for one of them. And expect to pay at least that again for a lense or two.
