I know what it is and all that, but I have noticed most mens penises can retract the foreskin to show the head, but on mine there is a vein or something that prevents that. Why is this?

you may have a tight foreskin, the trick is to gradually keep retracting the foreskin over the head of your penis little by little each day until it's fully detached from the head. the vein you talk about might be a vein that swells up when you have an erection and therefore hurts a little when attempting to pull it back, i even have the same problem sometimes and mines fully retracted. just keep at it, but make sure you dont apply too much force!

Would this hurt my sex life at all in my later years?

You haven't said how old you are, or how long you've been trying at this. If you're still quite young and haven't been playing with it for very long it will be a bit tight at first, this is normal. All uncut dicks have a sort of connection that runs from the groove underneath the glans (head of the penis) to the foreskin, so if this is where you think you've got a vein this is again completely normal.
Its very unlikely that you've got a problem that will cause you any difficulties later on. If you really do have a problem with a tight foreskin then you'll have to see a doctor and get it removed, but this is quite rare. The vast majority of circumsicns are done for no medical purpose whatsoever. I expect you'd be in agony every time you got a hardon if this was the case.

NO it should be fine as long as your don't stretch too far at a time and rip something.
You might want to go see a doctor to make sure that there is nothing wrong and you can just pull the skin back.
Well good, be careful and don't hurt your self.

no because once the skin has fully detached from the head it will freely move up and down

Cant really answer this question unless we know what you have down there.
