That night made me love you
That night we shared, the stuff we had tried,
It all was so wrong, but it felt so right.
You made it seem so real, but you just lied,
I left a bit of me with you that night.
When you touched my hand ever so lightly,
It was a start to something that was new.
That night made me love you oh so slight,
I can’t believe it was just you and I.
I still feel for you but you have moved on,
I do wonder if I did something that was wrong.
It doesn’t matter because now you’re gone,
Now I miss you and it’s been way to long.
Oh it’s been too long, it’s been awhile,
Since I’ve seen that face, that perfect smile.
I wrote this poem for my english class. Its written in Iambic pentameter and is a Shakespearean sonnet. It has the traditional 14 lines. Which are 3 Quatrains stanzas and 1 Couplet Stanza. Along with some poetic devices thrown in (:
-Enjoy (:
