what are your views on sectarianism like in bombings in Gaza for religious reason etc.
(for anyone who doesnt know what sectarianism is its bigotry, discrimination, prejudice or hatred arising from attaching importance to perceived differences between subdivisions within a group, such as between different denominations of a religion or the factions of a political movement.)

I think it is something that will always happen. People will always disagree with other people, especially about views on governmental and religious issues. The only thing that would ever be able to end disagreements on these issues would be to come to a consensus on EVERYTHING, which would end conflict thus making this world a utopia, which in turn would be extremely boring and an end of conflict would in my opinion end society.

I'm technically Catholic, but even then, I can see a simple fact.

Religion is the root of all evil. If you disagree, look back in history, and try show me a conflict that did not have some religious undertone.

Plus, Christians are so hypocritical it isn't even funny. All religions are at some point, but Christianity is the worst.

I'm sorry if that offends anybody; it's my belief. And, like I said, I'm technically Christian, and I might believe in God. But any person who can not see how hypocritical Christianity is, religious or not, is blind.

All religions are hypocritical.

However if religion weren't present, war would still occur. Conflict would still be found over things such as territory and possessions. The Vietnam conflict was not a result of religion, it was a result of political issues. Wars that take place in Africa (and don't quote me on this, because I know I am not well informed on war in Africa at all) aren't about religion, they are about territory.

Humans are animals. It is an animalistic instinct to protect your territory and possessions.

There is NO WAY you can say that the absence of religion would have even had an affect on the amount of war that has taken place in the past and will occur in the future.

If humans didn't contain their animalistic instincts of being very territorial, then there wouldn't be war.

War is not caused by religion, it is caused by instinct. We are animals after all. Just watch Animal Planet if you want to see what the world is like.

Religion is still an undertone in every conflict. As for the African Tribal Wars, they're just that. Tribal wars. Tribes with their own religions that can't get along.

Using religion as a cop out for why wars have occurred is pointless because like I said, wars would be about territory. Those tribal wars in Africa are disputes over territory or possessions.

Wars would occur because one group of people have the better land to grow crop, have more wildlife, are closer to water, the list could go on and on.

I bet there have been more conflicts, wars, and disputes about territory and possessions than there have been over religions.

Is this a joke? If not... 2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB , Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT , Exodus 22:19 NAB , Zechariah 13:3 NAB and Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT. There are plenty more verses, those are just a few.
