Hi, um is it a bad thing to take random advil pills? Cuz i have become kind of addicted to taking them. It has just become a habit. I'll take some to school and pop a few.

Yes it is bad. It may not have as harmful affects as other drugs, but it can still cause you harm.

Why would you randomly take medicines that you don't necessarily need? It's a bad habit to get into, relying on meds, and eventhough they're over the counter and widely available, they're still medicines. The ingredients are fairly strong, although taken when needed and as directed, they are safe. If you take them a lot, over an extended time, they can do damage to your liver, however.
Medicines of any kind should always be used only as directed, and only when you have the symptoms (problems) they are made for. Otherwise, you run the risk of doing some damage to yourself.
Stop taking them 'randomly'.

No. It's not good.
Is there a point? No. Is there a physical addiction? No.
That means you can usually use willpower alone to stop.
Popping pills randomly, even ones you can buy easily w/o a prescription, is never good.
However, if you need help, try asking your parents to restrict your access to the pills unless you specifically need them.

Why would you pop pills that don't make you feel anything at all?
