so yesterday the doctor told me i have glandular fever (apparently called mono in america). anyways, the doctor told me that i need lots of rest and stuff and i intend on doing that. he also told me about what i should expect and stuff but what i was wondering is if any other vters who have had this could describe what it was like for them and how long you were sick for and how long it took you to get back to doing things pretty much normal again? thanks.

Mono (short for mononucleosis, which I think sounds cooler than glandular fever xP) is one of those illnesses which can keep you feeling sort of lethargic and "blobby", as I like to put it, for a few weeks. Just take it a little easy, and don't worry if it takes a while before you feel 100% again.

It is definitely one of those things that takes a while to get over. I had it a couple of years ago and was not well again for around a month. It's not fun...

Mono or also known as "the kissing disease" ( called this because it can be passed on through kissing and be gotten from kissing) it's really crappy. Listen to your doctor. Your going to start to get really tired and you'll stop eating slot because loss of appetite. I've had friends who have had this you'll have hardly any energy, and you'll probably loose a bit of wieght. Hang in there
