Ridiculously hormonal self-pitying rant

Sorry to hear that, but I thought I would respond since nobody has yet. I guess what I would tell your mum is, you want a different type of therapy. This would convince her you want to change and get help and stop, but this way just isn't helping you.

And honestly, you look very attractive in your picture.

Well, if you don't think that this type of therapy is going to help you (And honestly it doesn't sound like something that would be at all beneficial), I think you need to show your mom that you can find something that will work for you. A little more easily said than done, yes, but if you don't want to go to these meetings, then you need to find some alternative.

At this point your mom probably isn't going to trust you to stop on your own, which is most likely a good thing as you're going to be pushed to stop. It's annoying, yes, but most likely for the better. Now, this begs the question, what can YOU do? Well, I don't know exactly what you could do, as I'm not in your position, but if you don't like this style of therapy, find another one. Be proactve and take charge in defeating your eating dsorder. I can't remember at the moment if you have a therapist right now, but if you do, have them help you in finding more ways in which you can attack this problem.

At least it seems that you want to stop, and this gives a little extra motivation, horrible as the situation it puts you in is. Just focus on the good parts of the meetings, and don't pay attention to the bad. It's hard, but you have to, or it's just going to harm you more.

Good luck, Marcie. I know it's been said, but It's a bit sad to see such a young girl as having this bad image of yourself when your body is actually something you should be proud of. I hope things improve for you soon. :)
