But yet:

I've never done it because I don't think I would ever go that deep into punishment. It's amazing how many people do.

From here onwards, you lost me. It's not amazing at all, it's a depressing fact of life and you saying you wouldn't do it because you wouldn't go that deep into 'punishment' irritates me. Yeah, while it is a certain form of punishment, it's a coping mechanism and some people genuinely need it in order to survive. The mind is capable of many, many things, some horrible and some people do have their minds control everything they do in life.

I hope that everyone just realizes that cutting themselves isn't helping anyone and it's only hurting yourself.

I should of known better. I should of stuck with "Glad everyone is recovering!" And left it at that. Pointing out that I wouldn't do it myself made my post make no sense. 12 days of hell. I was given a pretty nice folding knife that uses box cutter blades today. A friend of mine's cousin was found by me in her room with a slit wrist and a note on her desk today. I took her "favorite" blade as a thing to remember her by. Her and I were the only ones who could actually talk to each other about our self harming.

Well it's been sense late may, which is the longest stretch of not hurting myself ever in a decade.. I'd have to say that's quite the accomplishment. Yet, I am having a huge three and a half week drug binge that can be considered self harm... After it's all over I don't know what to expect.. Maybe i'll die, maybe i'll survive and continue to fight through this crazy existence. Time will tell.
