Cookies Anyone?

Eh, not the ones you bake.
I did a virus scan a while ago, and it supposedly deleted some cookies that I "didn't want".
Anyways, now, I can't stay logged into VT like I used to- every time I close Firefox I get logged out, instead of keeping me logged in.
On other forums and website, I can't even stay logged in at all- I log in and as soon as I direct away from the login page, I get logged out.
Anyways, everything works fine and dandy with Internet Explorer, but I have a death wish on that particular web browser, and I don't like any others as well as Firefox. What shall I do?

Chrome kicks ass. But so does opera. They are both good.

Opera is way more customizable. I have found after playing around with bth of them, Opera is preferable for me. Chrome IS pretty good though, so either one would suffice.

However, Chrome's Flash support isn't as good as some other browsers, so that is a consideration.

I've tried both, Opera extensively, and like neither.

Try clearing your cookies. (Sounds weird right? Clearing your cookies to fix your cleared cookies. :p )
(If the above doesn't work...) Re-install Firefox (Or 'repair' it, if the Firefox installer has the option to)

Make sure your AV isn't constantly deleting cookies. If it isn't then simply clicking the "Remember Me" button before logging in should keep you logged in.

Or try restarting your computer. Restarts will fix random problems sometimes for no reason.
