I mean, seriously, come the fuck on. Douchebag.
Okay, now that I have your attention... I've decided to bring up a somewhat controversial topic: abuse amongst or involving members of the entertainment industry and how the brain washed and obsessed public processes information and reacts.
Do not take me as condoning any kind of violence or abuse in relationships, but Chris Brown hitting Rhianna is not close to the first instance of abuse or violence amongst romantically involved members of the entertainment industry. There are plenty of other entertainers that have committed violent crimes and major offenses across the board, not limited to rape, murder, and violence. Maybe I am too young to recall much, but this is the first I recall the public being so enthralled by something like this.
I am not wholeheartedly supporting nor downing the decision by different companies, networks, and radio stations to drop Chris Brown's commercials and songs, but I have one thought here: if we, as music listeners, abstained from someone's music because of an immoral act against someone else, we'd have nothing to listen to.
Until more details are released as to why the fight occurred, I won't go "OMGNOEZTURNITOFF" every time someone that I know plays or listens to a Chris Brown song, and I won't go changing the channel if, by some rare chance, I see a commercial of his.
Thoughts?

what does one thing have to do with the other?
great musicians often have been great douche-bags.
The world is driven my media, answers like that are bound to happen.
nothing one can do about it.

Well, I dont like the rap industry, so I will go "OMGNOEZTURNITOFF" because I think it is an excuse to music because most rap is either about sex, money, drugs, or violence. But what Chris Brown did is just stupid and just shows a lot about rap and how it is just bad because it influences people to bad things... I bet if he wouldn't been brainwashed by rap and think its okay to hit women, like some songs sugest etc. I bet he wouldn't of done it, but y'all probally think Im ignorant about this so I wont say any more.

I don't think that the music he produces or listens to is really the major influence here - when abuse is perpetrated in a relationship, there's a good chance that the abuser was taught that - whether he agreed with or opposed to what he saw.

The story that i heard is that Chris had some one in his life as a kid abusing his mom and so in his naive mind saw it as "ok". He shouldnt matter if she yelled screamed or threw a fit, he should have walked away, talked her down or even just do the smartest thing a man can do when a woman yells, say nothing and when she is done analyze what she said and be calm and answer. My personal moral is that you NEVER STRIKE A WOMAN in the intent of shutting her up, or causing physical pain(unless in sports and karate where u gotta).
If you see something that is scary as a kid to you, where your mom is in pain and you hear crys for help and it strikes fear into you, you should grow older and know that that is bad and will cause that same pain that has caused your mom or yourself or others who have endured it.
We cant segreate because he did a really dunce move. Ike and Tina were at it all the time and we still listened.
Pulling his ad's and and commercials isnt going over the line. He made a idiot move and you pay the price. People gotta understand this:
Chris isnt a hard-core, ghetto rapper. He comes off as a sweet innocent boy who says he never had sex when he was 19 on a radio show, and does alot of love songs and things that come off as a pure person who will be your lover and never hurt you emotionally, verbally or physically. Now that image is gone forever. How will he come off as? An abuser who is messed up. Its like so many people wont know what to do with him now, what songs to write, how to appear and what to do.
He made the mistake of not knowing that hitting hurts people and that you hit your girlfriend Rihanna a Pop superstar who is adored by billions. Chris is a big boy and he knows he is a cleberity that people look up too and know that "Yea the sweet ones can be big!" people look down now and he Hit RIhanna a platiunum artist that was adored by by billions national and international. He made the mistake and now he will pay.

Rock has songs about drugs, money, sex and violence.
Country has songs about drugs, money, sex and violence.
There's bad influences everywhere, don't blame the music.
People commit crimes a thousand times worse than this every day. I don't care about some guy hitting some chick because on the grand scale of things, it doesn't really matter at all.

But Rihanne gave Chris Brown Herpes, I am not agreeing with what he did just that I think someone would be made if they were given herpes.

Personally, I hate his music. But I think it's silly if someone decides to hate Chris Browns music just because of what he did. Radio stations and music channels still play Michael Jacksons songs, and he's a fucking loonatic who dangles little babies out of balconies. These celebrities actions don't make their work or music any less that what it already was. They're still just as talented, instead they are complete morons.
Though what he did was horrific. When I first heard about the incident I was like "What the heck, he threw a punch at her..." and just assumed the media was making a bigger story out of it than it actually was. But I saw photo's of Rihanna in one of my mums magazines (I was bored okay :P) and her face was trashed, bloody scars, bruises and teeth marks covering her. Seriously, what a cunt.

Its funny how people come up with assumptions. Of course Chris hit her, and they broke up. NOW GET THIS. They got back together a week or two later, and they returned him to the r&b industry and began playing his music on the radio again. Can you believe that?

Gosh, I wish my past lovers were that desperate.
