Well here goes:
1) Eat three balanced meals a day (don't skip breakfast)
2) Eat well using all different food groups (don't do a no-carb or no-protein type thing to lose weight - its really unhealthy)
3) Try to avoid unhealthy snacks. If you feel like snacking ask yourself why you are snacking, is it because you are actually hungry, or just bored? If just bored try to do something to occupy your mind like exercise or, dare I say it, schoolwork (I take it from your age you are taking the dreaded GCSEs?)
4) Take at least 15 minutes to eat every meal. Eating slowly is proven to make you feel more full
5) Don't eat after 8pm as it slows your metabolism
6) Exercise - easy if you're the sporty type, but for others (like me) its a bit of a chore
7) Cut your portion sizes (especially with things like pasta and rice)
8) Check calories on packets (although its easy to go all OCD, so don't overdo it) Some things are surprisingly calorific so try and avoid these foods in your diet.
Hope this helps. Also don't worry if the scales don't show your efforts straight away, it takes time to show. Good luck! :)

Well since you are fifteen and still growing there is a chance you will lose the weight as you grow. I converted 12 stone to American pounds so the rest of VT has an idea how much you weigh. 12 stone is only 168 pounds. That is not too fat but I guess it depends on your body type and all.
The best way to lose weight is change your lifestyle and exercise. You will need to change what you eat and when you eat. It is best not to eat after about 6PM at night and drink plenty of water to help push the food through your system. Changig your diet and excercising is the best way to lose weight and keep it off but if you exercise you will gain weight because you are changing your body mass to muscle.
I hope this helps you

Me again - just noticing your name, if you are one of those big-built rugby types then your weight may just be down to muscle. I know people who are really into rugby and weigh quite a bit, but they're not fat thats just the way their bodies are. I don't know what your body type is like, but muscle does weigh more than fat so remember to bear that in mind.
