ok so some of you may have read my other forum but basically i found out i got my first period. So when it comes back im going to use a tampon. when should i change it...btw my last one was very light,.

I wouldn't really advise tampons until your periods become more regualar - but more and more girls are using them at younger ages, so I guess it's your choice.

It really depends on you. You should look at the boxes, and try to stick with the lowest absorbencies to start with.

You'll have instructions on the box, but basically, when it's time to change you just pull on the string lightly and it'll start to slide out if it's ready.

If you check ever time you go to the toilet or if you feel that it's full, you should be fine. It'll take a while for you to get used to when you need to change, but after a while, it'll be practically natural.

Tbh, age really isn't anything to do with. As long as you feel comfortable, then it's fine.

It's just that I know a lot of girls don't consider tampons for some time after they've started their period.
