I have read an article about this before and I was curious about VT's population.

I ask you to answer the poll prior to viewing the videos.

This is only meant for men to answer. Please, women, I am sorry, it doesn't apply to you.

So, please answer the poll.

It's almost like the people are putting pressure on him to be gay!
Ah!
Anyways, i don't like the movie much.
I was like a much less extreme version of that kid- I liked stuffed animals, and I had a barbie or two, etc.
But I'm straight. I don't know. To me, what they are saying is the typical stereotype, not scientific research.
Interesting though.

Hmmm...interresting. I might be straight though...I put bisexual just in case. Not to sure yet. But I can easily understand this and I believe some parts of it, but not all of it. The right/left hand thing was a little corny. But then again, right/left handed comes from the brain side more advanced, or something like that. Either way, quite interesting.

I find it interesting because I identify myself as bi or homosexual and I have 3 older brothers and am right handed.

I have never seen anything like this. Ever.
I think this is getting more nurture than nature...
His mom is encouraging this..
and I am not trying to be...mean but I think that the study at the beginning is totally...not reliable.
Anyways...I think its 70% nature 30% nurture...and his mom (at the beginning) is totally making her son...like...eh i cant even describe

Yes, as I said before I don't buy all of it. I am posative that environment has something to do with it. I thought of that befiore I saew this, but I knew it wasn't all environment. Possibly could be genes. I'll but that...but I agree support also does affect it as well. At the moment, can't be sure. Not until further studies. I would like to know the source of gayness though. Would be interresting, and would make it easier for me to come out to my family about possible being (as said before, not fully sure) bisexual

Yeah, I'm bisexual, but leaning closer to being straight. I don't act totally like a girl, but many people say I do. Not that it's, like, offensive or anything. Meh, maybe I'm just curious.

I think we are born gay or bi and it is wired into our system. The second video talked about hormones and that is what I think determines a person being being gay or straight.

I have known oldest brothers of families who are gay and the rest of the boys are straight. The video really didn't give much proof here to convince me that it is caused by and older brother and being right handed.

I hav one older brother, and Im gay. Suppose it may have been kinda obvious when i was younger because I never really knew that it wasn't normal that I hung out with girls all the time, liked playing with stuffed animals (not dolls...), and honestly just didnt like being around other guys. I also acted kinda gay, but looking at me now, very few people would think Im gay. These videos were interesting... I am very surprised that mom let her son get all that girly stuff. Im glad shes supporting, but it seems more likely that a mother would try and encourage guy stuff. Also really surprised that a 9 year old said he wishes he were a girl. Well more power to him if he ends up gay!

Hmm... really, if you observed me talking, observed my tendancies, etc., you would think I'm gay, but I'm flaming straight... lol. So, I dunno... but I think they make some interesting points.

Second vid stopped working :(

i agree with Πρίαπος, i think we are born so.. =) but i think the mother is kind of encouraging him to be gay ( i don't mean to be mean) but shouldn't she supply more "boyish" stuff ? :what:

Wow that was really interesting. There's never a simple answer. Oh well.

That's interesting that no one has voted that they're straight and have 3+ brothers and even if they didn't show that much if any evidence to their theory, it's still interesting to see that.

Very interesting video and some very plausible theories there. To be honest, I also think it's 'wired' into your system, determined by the amount of testosterone/oestrogen in your system. I have 3 cousins that are brothers and all of them are straight, not sure whether they're right-handed or left-handed.

Hmm... I'm gay (almost positive) and I don't think I act overtly feminine... I should ask people (haha!). I don't like sports and I make friends with girls more easily but I wouldn't say I'm feminine. I do have an older brother and I am right-handed. As for the girly twin, I don't see why y'all have a problem with his mom buying the things that he obviously wants. I don't see her pressuring him at all; quite the contrary, really. And why do you think it's surprising that a nine-year-old would have developed a sense of gender identity by that age? Did you know and feel that you were a boy(/girl) when you were nine?
