Well this freaked me out. I was in the shower with the lights off, and I just got mad out of nowhere and started scratching at my arms. My therapist said as one psychological problem gets better, another one usually gets worse. I've been doing good with the hair pulling but now I'm freaking out at random moments and I can't sleep. Any advice?

Talk to your professionals. Therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist. All the above. They can help you through it.

Thanks. Also last night I heard someone whispering "Mandy" my name's Amanda but everyone calls me Mandy. Ok now I'm officially freaked out.

My friend has a huge spot on his head where he pulled his hair. It has grown back now, but how he stoped pulling was to play with play dough so his hands did not go to his hair.

Yeah the official name for hair pulling is trichotillomania.

Unless the underlying reason for your hair pulling was addressed in therapy, then you will notice a change in your behaviour/state of mind. Try working on the underlying cause of these behaviours with your therapist and you should then see some improvement across the board.
