I was wondering if you could describe your beginning workout, because I've noticed you guys get into shape pretty fast.

A lot of running and a lot of lifting. It starts out basic and only gets more grueling.

For a month before games start (August), my team has a 6 hour minicamp every day.

It consists of:
A long jog around the football fields, aerobic stretches, core workouts.
Offensive Positional Drills (agility training, mostly)
Water
Offensive Team (running plays half-speed)
Water
Defensive Positional (agility and strength)
Water
Defensive Team (more agility training)
Water
Conditioning (sprinting exercises and endurance, switching every other day)
Weightlifting (a personal responsibility if you want to get better, my team sucks so we don't do much)

During game weeks, everything's lighter:
Special Teams (sprinting, strength workouts unless you're a kicker)
Offensive/Defensive Positional (agility/strength depending on what you are)
Water
Offensive/Defensive Team (contact, so it's a pretty good workout unless you're on the bench)
Water
Conditioning (sprinting across the field width-wise, sprinting uphill, sprinting in bursts up and down the field lengthwise)
Weightlifting

We have weightlifting over the summer, winter, and spring for kids that don't play sports. I play lacrosse over spring and summer, so I'm usually in shape all year round.

OFFSEASON

for our team...we were undefeated last year.....in the off-season strait after the football season starts we start getting into shape....its basicly staying in shape....we go into the waitroom every other day and do these perfessional workouts and after the work outs you do agilities that gets ur heart rate up to burn calories and gain balance and stuff...and after every single work out we eat alot of protein and we take protein supliments....and every day after the workouts ur soooo sore....even when you get used to them you're sore.....but in my free time i take 4-5 mile runs everyday to condition myself....b/c when your on the field the whole game the only way you can win is if your conditioned..that way when the other team is tired, you're still going strong.......you also need a good healthy balanced diet...no more than for meals a day...no pop. no candy...and if you have deserts and fast food type stuff...just make sure you work off all the calories.......and make sure your getting sleep and ur resting in between workouts so you dont overwork and pull something
