I had the soundtrack, and just saw the movie, and its awesome! I cant believe that it was a brodway musical because the film shots and special effects were excelent!

I saw the video and the play.
The Play was VERY GOOD. I think it was better than the movie
but the movie had good special effects. I liked them both and highly recommend seeing other Broadway plays! ESPECIALLY WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it opened in the west end of London in October 1986 and has been running ever since. I've seen it twice in London and the stage show is just totally awesome, way better than the film. I love it.
