i don't have older brothers, so i had to ask my dad.

there's not really much to it? so i don't think someone will have to teach you.
but i would still let him know that you are going to start shaving. i would have your brothers just buy you some razors, (as in shaving)

its not as embarrassing as you think

Just ask your dad; it's a father's job. It's not embarrassing, I'm sure he'll be glad to get you a shaver..

If your nervous about using a normal razor. You can always buy an electric one..there very easy to use.

And I'm sure your dad won't mind, it's not embarassing...it's all part of being a father.

yeah i didn't even ask my dad. my mom was the one who ended up buying me razors and i just learned on my own. my father and i don't have a very good relationship so it would've been weird if i asked him. but in your situation just ask your dad or if you don't want to do that just ask your brothers. shaving isn't really that bad, just use common sense and be careful not to cut yourself.

It depends. If you have a good amount of facial hair that grows back often, you might want to ask your dad how to shave. It really is a father-son type thing. I'm 13 and if i don't shave i get one of those teenage mustache things. I hate those so i just used my brother's electric shaver. Once he left for college i had to get my own electric shaver. My mom taught my brother how to shave, but only because my dad stinks at shaving.

The bottom line is: If you have a lot of hair get a manual shaver, but if you don't just my an electric shaver.

It really is not as bad as you think, as the others have said, to ask for help to start shaving. To be honest, even with all the videos and tutorials out there showing one how to shave you still need a live person to help you. Believe me, your Father or your brothers know that you would approach them one day for shaving tips, and no one learns about body maintainence in a vacuum. Personally, I would ask your Father as he can actually buy you rasors, too. However, if you are not on good terms with your Father, then ask your brothers for help. In either case, don't try to shave alone as you need help your first time.

P.S. The following video might help you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALOKiXe1mSQ&feature=related

Yeah, just ask. At least you wont be shaving wrongly, could cut yourself unless you're suing an electric shaver. Also, brothers are a good source for future info, as long as they're not immature and want to help you, not embarass you. I would tell your father if I was you, and I would probably shave with my brothers if I had any. Dad's are for teaching, brothers are for helping, so yeah I would tell my dad and shave with my brothers. Especially if you're going to use one of their shavers. It's not nice, or right, to steal a shaver, or even use one without permission. good way to get into trouble and get on your family's bad side.

Just ask him. He'll be proud his young boy is turning into a young man, and he'll probably be glad to help you shave. As for buying razors, don't be embarrased because how do the people you're buying the razors from know that you're just starting shaving. Maybe you've shaved before. They probably can't tell. Hope this helps.

I just recently started shaving. My dad showed me. Dont Worry! I thought it was going to embarrassing, but it wasn't. He showed me how, and that was it. Its part of growing up, and I could tell he was proud that I was growing up and becoming a young man.

Put a bit of your dads after shave on so they think you have shaved before and go and get some razors and what should you care they don't really know you do you they work in a shop

If your embarrassed to ask someone you could always watch a video on how to shave....... buying razors at say a drug store is easy because no one cares and it's something everyone does, but an electric shaver is also a good idea.

Yeah you could just buy one.. but I recommend an electric one if you are because they are better even if more expensive.

There is a method to it so you don't cut your face open.

I have to shave once every two days as in my family guys start getting pretty mature facial hair from 14 on.

I got an electric shaver so don't have the problem of getting cut.

Your dad will probably be kind of proud you're asking as he will be seeing you becoming a man. All dads like seeing their sons finally becoming a man.

If you have an older brother you could also ask him.
