This is the correct location for it.

Teen sexuality is mainly for questions about your sexuality. Mainly things like "am I gay?" and stuff like that. This section, Relationships and Dating, is about things that pertain to your question. It fits much better here than there, however if you are truly that upset about the placement, it can be moved back.

As to your question, confidence comes with time basically. As you continue to go out, you will become more confident and just be like "that wasn't so bad, why was I so nervous." You should realize after a few dates that there is nothing to worry about and should become more confident.
