Well, this guy went all out for valentines day stuff for me, and texts me every night, but i don't like him. so how do i put "buzz off creep" gently and not be mean. I feel a bit guilty about the v day stuff...

Just sit him down (preferably in real life, not in text) and tell him:
"Look, I'm flattered you like me, and I like all the stuff you gave me, but I'm really not interested in having a boyfriend right now."

I fully agree with this, but it sounds like he's really into you, and it might be a little harsh. Take it from a guy, we don't like to be rejected suddenly. Try sitting with him at lunch or something and have a casual conversation first, and slowly bring up the subject. Then do as directed above.
Good luck! ;)

I personally don't like the in person thing, so here's a spitball suggestion. Just start avoiding him. Don't answer his calls, don't reply to his texts, etc. Obviously there's a lot of cons to this option, but if nothing else works just go with it.

Guys hate to hear "i dont want a boyfriend right now" it actually makes things a whole lot worse. I just got dumped with that line. You could just talk bout other guys. pretend that u have no clue that he likes you.

Well, i was all "oh you shouldn't have" and such, and he said, "well, i was thinking we could go out sometime" So it's grossly apparent that he likes me. I suppose i could just gush about someone else...scare him off.

Either way it's going to make him upset.. Just be honest with him.

Yeah, just be honest. It's the key to a healthy relationship for any relationship, even one where a girl dumps a guy. Don't start avoiding him, that makes him feel like you think he's a creep that's weird and stuff. Just be honest.

if it was me, i would go with this approach. you just need to tell him how you feel and explain that you don't want to lead him on because you don't share the same feelings he has. he might be disappointed and a little upset, but the most important thing is to be straight with him and tell him the truth.
